Food FYI

Iran produces more than half of all pistachios.

Most food and grains can be traced back to a certain location, and the pistachio is no exception.  The pistachio trees, on the other hand, are legally native to several Central Asian countries, including Iran and Afghanistan.

The nuts were thought to have been ingested as early as 6750 BC. Since about 2017, Iran is thought to account for more than 50% of the world's pistachio output.
