If you love apples, and if
you love fritters, well this duo is going to blow your mind. A wonderful mouth
watering fall recipe, anyone would love!
They are a great appetizer,
or brunch dish, even a nice dessert served with ice cream.
Ingredients
2 cup self-rising flour
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg or allspice
1/8 tsp ground ginger
2 large eggs beaten
1/2 cup butter melted
3/4 cup whole buttermilk
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 medium-large golden
delicious apples peeled, cored, small dice
Powdered sugar for dusting
Heat about 5 inches of
vegetable oil to 350 ° F in a heavy bottomed pot.
Sift the flour, sugar, ground
cinnamon , nutmeg or all-spice and ginger together in a medium-sized mixing
bowl.
Add the melted butter,
buttermilk, broken eggs and vanilla. Mix well.
Apply the apple diced and
blend until uniformly spread.
Using a 2 oz ice cream scoop
or a Tbsp to drop in the hot oil. Maintain oil temperatures between 350 ° F-360
° F for better performance.
Fry in batches for about 3
minutes per side until golden. Turn around for more browning.
Use a slotted spoon to drain
on a paper towel lined with a cookie
sheet.
Dust with powdered sugar and
serve instantly.
Serve with ice cream or a dip.
