Ginger
Dressing, commonly known as Japanese Salad Dressing, is a sweet, tangy, and
somewhat spicy dressing used on a basic iceberg salad at Japanese steakhouses.
Ingredients
1/2
Cup Peanut Oil
1/2
Cup White Onion Diced
1/4
Cup Rice Wine Vinegar
1/4
Cup Water
2
Tbl Ginger Fresh grated
2
Tbl Celery Diced
2
Tbl Soy Sauce
1
Tbl Ketchup
2
tsp Sugar
2
tsp Lemon Juice
Salt
and Pepper to taste
Instructions
Collect
all of the components. Chop the onion and celery.
To
grate fresh ginger, first peel it using a potato peeler or paring knife. Then,
using a tiny grater, shred the ginger.
Add
all ingredients in a food processor and mix until smooth.
The
onion and celery will provide texture to the dressing.
Refrigerate
in a tightly covered container until ready to serve.
Once
properly stored in the refrigerator, it can last up to a week.
