Pepperoni Bread

Pepperoni Bread is a fun lunch or snack made with pizza dough, cheese, pepperoni, and spices. Pillsbury Pizza Dough was used in this recipe.

Ingredients

1 pk Pizza Dough Pillsbury Refrigerated Pizza Dough

8 oz Pepperoni Slices

8 oz Mozzarella Cheese Grated

1 tsp Oregano

1 tsp Basil

1 tsp Garlic Powder

1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes Optional

1 Egg

1 Tbs Water

Instructions

Heat the oven to 375°F and coat a pie plate with nonstick spray.

Unroll the Pillsbury Refrigerated Pizza Crust on a lightly floured work surface. Roll the dough thinly using a rolling pin. About a quarter-inch thick

Prepare an Egg Wash by whisking the egg and putting in 1 tablespoon of water. Spread the dough with egg wash using a pastry brush.

Sprinkle the dough with Italian seasonings and garlic powder, then arrange the pepperoni on top, leaving a 1/2 inch border around the outside borders.

Please try to toss in some Red Pepper Flakes as well. It's optional, but it provides a great kick of heat.

Roll the dough firmly and seal it by pressing the seam and edges firmly.

Cover the roll with egg wash and place it in a well-greased pie pan, making sure the seams are tightly closed.

Flavorings can be put over top if desired.

Cook for 35-40 minutes at 375°F. Because every oven cooks differently, it's a good idea to keep an eye on the last few minutes to ensure it's not over baked.

Cut into slices and dip into marinara. 8-10 people
