One
such bacon and onion fried cabbage dish are salty, sweet, buttery, hearty, and
delectable!
INGREDIENTS:
4
thick bacon bits, diced
3
tablespoons of butter
1
onion diced
6
garlic cloves, diced
1
head cabbage, diced
1
teaspoon Celtic sea salt
Directions
Using
a sharp knife, cut the bacon into thick slices and cook until crispy. Set aside
after removing from the pan.
In
a large pan over medium-high heat, melt and soften the butter. Sauté until the
onions are smooth and translucent in the pan, about 4 minutes. Turning
constantly to prevent sticking or burning. Sauté until the garlic is aromatic
and smooth, about 3 minutes. Mix the cabbage in the pan to coat it with butter. Sprinkle liberally with salt.
Allowing
cabbage to cut in half for approximately 10 minutes, stirring sometimes to
prevent scorching and allowing it to cook evenly. To the pan, place the bacon.
When the cabbage has lost the majority of its volume and has begun to look
glossy and slightly transparent. Then it is ready to enjoy!
