Its nacho cheese sauce that is
sharp and creamy, and it's everything you've ever wanted to slather over
nachos, vegetables, or big pretzels.
Ingredients
3 cups (12oz) freshly
shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 12-ounce can (1 1/2 cups)
evaporated milk
2 teaspoons hot sauce
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground cayenne
pepper
Directions
To coat, put the shredded
cheese and cornstarch in a large mixing dish.
Pour evaporated milk into a
medium pot. Cook, whisking periodically, over medium heat until the milk barely
starts to boil.
Pull the milk from the heat
and mix in the cheese, a large handful at a time, until all of the cheese has
been absorbed and melted into the sauce.
Contribute the spicy sauce,
salt, and cayenne pepper, then taste and adjust as required. Serve with nachos,
chips, or steamed veggies!
