A creamy mushroom sauce transforms anything from
steak, pork, and chicken to noodles and vegetables from normal to
out-of-this-world amazing.
Ingredients
1 lb mushrooms, quartered you choose what type
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp butter
1 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp fresh thyme
Add the quartered mushrooms in a single layer to a dry
skillet over medium heat. Once mushrooms are beginning to brown, season
with salt and allow these to "sweat." Keep cooking for another 2
minutes.
Once all of the mushrooms are done, melt the butter in
the pan.
Again when the butter has melted and started to
bubble, and all of the mushrooms have been covered, add the thyme, heavy cream,
and soy. Heat the sauce to a moderate simmer, stirring often. Simmer for
3-4 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened. Spoon heated over anything you
like.
