These spicy Hawaiian burgers
are wonderful, healthful, satisfying, juicy, somewhat sweet, and spicy, and it's
all thanks to precisely seasoned Ground Beef patties.
1 pound Ground Beef
1/3 cup mayo
1 tablespoon adobo sauce
4 slices pepper jack cheese
1 cup pineapple diced drained
of excess juices
1 jalapeno finely diced
1/4 onion finely diced
1/4 cup cilantro
4 bacon strips cooked crisp
1 cup Hawaiian bbq sauce
4 hamburger buns
Hawaiian Hamburger Sauce
1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
1/3 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon crushed red
pepper flakes
Hamburger Seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
salt and pepper to taste
Combine the pineapple,
jalapenos, onions, and cilantro in a mixing bowl. Place aside.
Make the Sauce: Combine
mayonnaise and adobo sauce in a mixing bowl. Place aside.
Combine teriyaki sauce,
ketchup, brown sugar, garlic, and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan. Bring
to a boil, then lower to a simmer for 5 minutes. Take the pan off the heat and
set it aside.
Make the hamburgers.
Separate the ground beef into
four equal halves. Form the mixture into 5-inch patties. Season to taste with
garlic powder, chili powder, and salt and pepper.
Heat a grill, then cook
patties for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until a meat thermometer reads 160
degrees F. Place the burger patties on a dish and top with a piece of pepper
jack cheese right away. Let for 1-2 minutes to melt. Apply chipotle mayo on the
bottom half of the sandwich and arrange the burgers. Grilled burger patty,
bacon, pineapple relish, bbq sauce, and top half of bread on top. Serve warm.
