It all began in 2012, by Stanley Chase, who is the founder of, Louisville Vegan Jerky Co. It started from owning a food truck to making vegan jerky. Now with that being said, let me tell you about our night of tasting these amazing vegan jerky products from, Louisville Vegan Jerky Co.
With the family gathered and the movie playing, we all started tasting the LouisvilleVegan Jerky Co. smoked black pepper jerky. This is a wonderful vegan-friendly jerky, that can be enjoyed by anyone. It's a great snack or a holdover between meals. Its gluten-free ingredients make it a healthy choice over other products. You get a wonderful source of protein and low fat in each bite you take. The ingredients are organic and are all locally sourced. It may be fake meat but there's nothing fake about the taste. You get the flavor profile of smoked black pepper, a little salt, and a nice mild and robust burst on your taste buds, with a nice sweetness at the end. The ingredients that give all this flavor to the smoked black pepper jerky are Textured Soy Protein, San-J Tamari, Salt, Olive Oil, Sorghum. Garlic, Onion, Spices, Vinegar, Natural Smoke Flavor. All the Louisville Vegan Jerky is made in small batches to ensure not only freshness but quality.
The next bag from, Louisville Vegan Jerky, was their perfect pepperoni. This was a first for my family and me as far as jerky flavor. But if you’re a pepperoni lover, then as we did, you will love this flavor. Textured Soy Protein, San-J Tamari, Salt, Olive Oil, Beet Juice, Natural Smoke Flavor, Black Pepper, Mustard Seed, Vegan Sugar, Spices, is what make this vegan jerky burst with flavor. The flavor is fantastic, and if you want a recipe idea, I would cut some pieces up and place them on my next homemade pizza. Jerky is great in recipes, such as toppings, added ingredients in soups and so much more. Each bite of this tastes like your eating fresh sliced pepperoni from the deli. It has a nice spice to it, that dance's on your taste buds.
Maple Bacon was the next, Louisville Vegan Jerky we all tried. Textured Soy Protein, San-J Tamari, Salt, Olive Oil, Maple Syrup, Vinegar, Beet Juice, Vegan Brown Sugar, Black Pepper, Paprika, Natural Smoke Flavor is what makes this vegan jerky special. The calories in all these vegan jerky products are so low, that no matter your diet, you can enjoy them. Who doesn't love maple bacon, I know I do. And the flavor of this jerky really brings it! It has a nice Smokey bacon profile, then some sweetness from the maple syrup. It would be great as a topping on a frosted donut for sure. But straight out of the bag works too.
If you love the taste of Carolina BBQ, you will love the vegan jerky from, Louisville Vegan Jerky Co. It is their smoky Carolina BBQ flavor that brings the South to your mouth. This is a finger-licking vegan jerky that has ingredients that are perfectly melded. You get the sweetness and the tang of BBQ flavor in each bite you take. Really an authentic Carolina BBQ-flavored jerky.
The last bag was a new flavor for the family and me. It was the Louisville Vegan Jerky, Buffalo Dill flavor. I even made a dip using the jerky that’s how good it was. Textured Soy Protein, San-J Tamari, Hot Sauce, Salt, Olive Oil, Carrot Juice, Liquid Smoke, Garlic, Celery Powder, Sorghum, Earth Balance, Fresh Dill. There's a lot of flavor going on here. It even has some heat from hot sauce, and a nice Smokey flavor as well. Then at the end, that dill flavor leaves an impression on your taste buds. All in all, it's a buffalo dip in vegan jerky form. It's spicy, bold, and tangy at the same time. I hope you will try the dip I made with this vegan jerky, it was a real treat to end our evening.
