Copycat Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich

Chick-fil-A's chicken sandwich is a beloved fast-food item that has been copied by many. But if you're looking for the closest possible taste to the original, you'll need to make it at home.

This copycat recipe is based on the original Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich, and it's made with simple ingredients that you can find at your local grocery store.

Ingredients:

Boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Buttermilk

All-purpose flour

Salt

Pepper

Paprika

Garlic powder

Onion powder

Cayenne pepper (optional)

Vegetable oil

Brioche buns

Pickles

Honey mustard sauce

Instructions:

In a large bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper (if using).

Add the chicken breasts to the bowl and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper (if using).

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Dredge the chicken breasts in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.

Fry the chicken breasts in the hot oil until they are golden brown and cooked through.

Remove the chicken breasts from the skillet and let them cool for a few minutes.

While the chicken is cooling, toast the brioche buns.

Spread honey mustard sauce on the bottom bun.

Top with the chicken breast, pickles, and the top bun.

Tips:

For a crispier chicken sandwich, you can double-dredge the chicken breasts in the flour mixture.

You can also use a deep fryer to cook the chicken breasts.

If you don't have brioche buns, you can use regular hamburger buns.

You can add other toppings to your chicken sandwich, such as lettuce, tomato, or cheese.

Enjoy!

Additional Notes:

You can find honey mustard sauce at most grocery stores.

If you don't have cayenne pepper, you can omit it or use a different type of pepper.

This recipe can be made ahead of time. Simply cook the chicken breasts and store them in the refrigerator until you're ready to assemble the sandwiches.
