You and
whom ever shares these potatoes with you will fall in love with them.
INGREDIENTS
1
teaspoon Butter
1 large
clove Garlic
1 cup
Whipping cream
1/3 cup
Whole Milk
1
teaspoon Salt
1/8
teaspoon Ground pepper
2 pounds
Potatoes cut into 1/8 inch slices
1 cup
Gruyere grated
1/4 cup
Parmesan grated
Directions
Preheat
the oven to 350°F.
Butter a
2-quart shallow baking dish lightly.
With the
side of a knife, lightly smash the garlic. In a pan over medium heat, boil the
cream, milk, garlic, salt, and pepper until little bubbles emerge around the
edge. Take off the heat and set aside for 10 minutes.
Half of
the potatoes should be arranged in overlapping slices down the bottom of the
prepared dish. Half of the cream mixture should be poured over the potatoes,
followed by half of the cheese. Repeat with the rest of the potatoes and
cheese. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the
potatoes are soft when probed with a knife.
