Crazy Monkey Baking

Yesterday's products, are going to fill my day with baking fun. Although they are a Granola Cookie Crunch's from Crazy Monkey Baking Company, I want to get creative!

A little history on how Crazy Monkey Baking started is what I want to tell you about first. And after that, my grandson JJ and I will have some breakfast, and do some baking together.

Crazy Monkey Baking Granola Cookie Crunch is the invention of Teresa Humrichouser. Before graduating from Ohio University with a Bachelor 's degree in Nutrition and Food Service Administration, Teresa realized that if she wanted to be satisfied with her work, she would have to be interested in baking. A mere baking practitioner, Teresa has taken several baking lessons, served in retail specialty bakeries, and invested her time in bakeries. But it's her own kitchen where she perfects her baking formulas. Teresa began with an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie recipe, and in the next several months it developed into what is now known as Crazy Monkey Baking Granola Cookie Crunch. From her kitchen, to a full blown company, to our homes, her products are available for everyone to try!

The first product JJ and I are going to try, I will use for our breakfast. For JJ, I kept it yummy and fun. Together we built a Parfait of strawberry yogurt, and topped it with Crazy Monkey Baking, "Dark Chocolate Chip Granola Cookie Crunch", and a big fresh strawberry on top of that. Needless to say it was not only pretty, but my grandson loved it. I always feel if a child eats it, you know its good. The granola part of Crazy Monkey Baking, is made with whole grain granola. The homemade cookie granola clusters, are low in carbs, sugar, and sodium. You don't have to bake with them, they taste fantastic right out of the bag. JJ loved the little monkey on the bag! Since Teresa started with oatmeal cookies, that is the first taste you notice when biting into the clusters. And yes I had to taste it to, after all my little grandson is only two. I could only get his opinion from seeing him finish it all up. The granola cookie clusters are great for families that watch what they eat. And since Crazy Monkey Cookie granola clusters are made in small batches, the company is able to control the taste and quality of their products. In each piece of the homemade clusters, you get dark chocolate chips, that melt in your mouth, along with the crunch of the granola. A great feature is that after the bag is open, you can reseal it to keep the cookie granola clusters fresh. The clusters make a great, safe and healthy snack for your whole family. You can pack some for lunch's, or use them in recipes, or better yet, just eat them right out of the bag! Kids will love the granola cookie clusters from Crazy Monkey Baking, because they taste so much like a cookie, a oatmeal cookie. And moms will love the Crazy Monkey Granola Cookie Clusters, because they are a healthy and delicious product.

Now for me, I used the Crazy Monkey Baking Cookie Crunch Granola, "Pumpkin Seed & Spice", and topped some vanilla yogurt. It was like a dessert for breakfast, that brought you back to Thanksgiving. In each bite you could taste not only the spice, but the pumpkin seeds.  Also you get the taste of the honey and molasses that help cover the rolled oats. I can think of so many other recipes to use the pumpkin & spice cookie crunch granola in, as a topping for breads, or baked into a oatmeal cookie. The aroma of the pumpkin & spice cookie crunch granola, hits you as soon as you open the bag. You just want to dive into these artisan products and eat it. It's a clump of rolled oats, with a cookie taste, and filled with wonderful healthy ingredients.

Now for the rest of the flavors from Crazy Monkey Baking, JJ and I are going to make some muffins, cookies and a loaf of bread.

For the muffins I just used a basic muffin recipe and added the different flavors of the cookie crunch granola as the main ingredient. With a total of twelve muffins, three each included the cookie crunch granola's. The first three, JJ and I put some of the "Mint Chocolate Chips Granola Cookie Crunch", in side the mix. This gave the muffins the taste of not only bittersweet chocolate, but a fresh peppermint flavor. It was like eating a mint chocolate ice cream muffin. Crumbling the cookie granola crunch was also easy to do into the muffin mixture. Even though we used the "Mint Chocolate Cookie Granola Crunch", in our muffins, there was enough left over to snack on later. These little gems are truly a fresh new snack in our home, packed with the flavor they say they are.

For the next three muffins, I let JJ choose the bag from Crazy Monkey Baking, and that was, the flavor cranberry almond. This flavor was over the top, just like the other clusters. You taste the sweet taste of the almonds, and the clusters, that are chewy. Then the taste of the molasses, and the bits of cranberries mixed through the clusters. It also crumbled nicely into our muffins. And what was nice in the muffin mixture you could see the cranberries surface after crumbling the cookie granola crunch. The muffins still had a crunchy texture to them, from the sweet almonds in the granola. This cookie granola crunch would also be great as a topping for bread, during the holidays. But if you don't want to wait that long, try it on some ice cream.

Now for the next three muffins, JJ crumbled some of Crazy Monkey Baking, "Mocha Granola Cookie Clusters", into our muffin mix. Now this was such a decadent flavor. If you love anything coffee flavored, this is the perfect cookie granola cluster for you. I also added some coffee beans, to the muffins, and these I served to the adults. It was a fresh cup of coffee in muffin form. There is a ingredient combo of coffee and dark chocolate that make up the granola cookie clusters. And it's music to the palate in every bite, not only in the muffins, but eating it straight out of the bag.

I think the last three muffins was my grandsons favorite. If you love peanut butter, you will really enjoy Crazy Monkey Baking "Peanut Butter ChocolateChip Granola Cookie Clusters". Not only in my muffins but straight from the bag, it’s a pairing that is truly a delight. You get the taste of rich deep peanut butter, and then the crunch of the granola, and then the buttery chocolate chips. Even in the cookie granola clusters, you can see the chunks of chocolate. I don't see this bag lasting long in any ones cabinet. As with all the flavors so far, they are so perfectly paired.

Now my grandson and I are going to make a dozen cookies using the Crazy Monkey Baking Granola Cookie Clusters. This should be a yummy treat, and makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

he first six cookies we made included, the flavor "Gingerbread White Chocolate Granola". The entire house smelled like Christmas. In each cluster, you get chunks of sweet white chocolate, that even stayed in the semi soft cookies we made. You get the taste and aroma of ginger, and the feel of the Christmas Holiday. It doesn't get any better then this.

Six other cookies JJ crumbled in the Crazy Monkey Baking, "White Chocolate Cranberry Granola Cookie Clusters". This bag of granola clusters had large chunks of sweet white chocolate, with chunks of cranberries. The cookies flavored with these granola clusters, also reminded you of the Holidays, filling the house with sweet aroma's. I can see why this is one of Crazy Monkey Baking's most popular flavors. So far JJ and I are having a blast with these yummy treasures. And it doesn't get any better then to make a cookie, with a product that tastes like a cookie! This cookie granola cluster flavor would make a great topping for ice cream, yogurt, and much more. The flavors of all of them are so decadent.

Now to end our baking for the day, I used the last bag from Crazy Monkey Baking, "Cinnamon

Pecan Granola Cookie Clusters". And I used this as a crumble on top of my banana bread, and also added some of the clusters inside the bread mix as well. The paired ingredients of the granola cookie clusters and the fresh banana was a great meld. The Cinnamon Pecan Granola Cookie Clusters was a combo of granola flavor, and a cookie flavor, AGAIN! In every bite from the bag, as well as from my banana bread, you got a portion of the pecans and granola crunch. The aroma from the cinnamon, filled the air as soon as you opened the bag. This recipe was a perfect match, but the Granola Cookie Clusters cinnamon pecan, would pair great with many dishes.
