INSTANT POT SAUSAGE WITH POTATOES AND GREEN BEANS

Looking for a home-style dinner that's hearty and full? Instant Pot Sausage with Potatoes and Green Beans is a winner! This simple one-pot dinner is only four essential ingredients, so it's really economical, falls together easily and cooks in only a few minutes.

Kielbasa is a pre-cooked sausage and you can find it in the brat department at the nearest grocery store. You'll also find certain pre-cooked sausages, such as grilled sausages, andouille sausages, frankfurters, etc. Make sure you don't mistakenly pick up fresh, uncooked sausages as that's not what you're doing with this specific recipe.

You may use any form of oil that has a high smoke point (vegetable, canola, almond, olive oil, etc.) for this dish. You use the oil to brown the Kielbasa sausage chunks as the browning really contributes to the flavor don't miss this stage, please!

I typically use chicken broth in this dish, but you may just use any broth you have on hand ,meat, beef, or vegetables. Either of them is just going to perform well. If you don't have a broth, you can use wine.

I usually use red potatoes in this dish, because they are usually more readily available.   However, when I do, I love creating this Kielbasa one-pot meal with Yukon Gold Potatoes because they have such a smooth texture and a buttery taste.

I use frozen green beans in this recipe, but you may use canned green beans instead.   If you're using canned green beans, I 'd rinse them a little before adding them to your pot, this will get rid of some of the salt.

So lets cook!

Use the sauté feature on your Instant Pot to cook the sausages.
Remove the sausages from the pot, add the broth and the potatoes to the Instant Pot and cook the potatoes under pressure for 5 minutes.
Release the pressure and remove the cover from the Instant Pot. Add the green beans and the reserved sausages to the pot and cook under pressure for another 2 minutes.

Serve in bowls and enjoy!
