Gurme 212 Product Review

Tonight for dinner, we are going to have a Mediterranean inspired meal, using some gourmet products sent by Gurme 212, located not only in Kearny NJ, but also in Turkey and Germany.

After eight years as a corporation, Gurme 212 is now a rising gourmet brand in three continents. Through the support of their great team, Gurme 212 items were shipped to 25 countries worldwide with its tasty Mediterranean recipes for both the retail and food service sectors of traditional and organic products. As of now, Gurme212 Co-Founder Askin has been the Managing Director of the Company since 2012. Gurme 212 was formed in Istanbul in 2012 as an online selling company after the mother factory EkoFood was developed in Akhisar in 2010. The co-founders were Ozge (CEO), Nermin (CFO), Yildirim (CTO – Technological Consultant) and Askin (Farmer & Producer). During this period, Gurme 212 expanded its range, rebranded (transitioned the logo from green to today's black & gold elite concept), and exports from Canada to Australia grew to 25 countries worldwide. The numbers in the logo 212 is the phone extension code of New York (Manhattan) and Istanbul (European Side) which represents that their gourmet love is full of energy, their enthusiasm comes from everyone's GLOBAL life and Plurality & Creativity of various cultures and tastes of the planet.

For Our Mediterranean meal, I will incorporate the products into appetizers, and a main course.

The first appetizer is made with Gurme 212 lentil stuffed grape leaves, Gurme 212 premium stuffed vine leaves, some cherry tomatoes, some yogurt, and some of the roasted eggplant puree. This all on a nice platter, set in the middle of the table as our cold appetizer. Now grape leaves are a vegetarian Greek appetizer, and the one from Gurme 212 has lentil. The taste is very tantalizing, and the inside of the grape leaves are stuffed with yummy ingredients. There is a mixture of rice, fresh dill, mint and lemon, and of course some lentils. The grape leaves that Gurme 212 use's come from Aegean region of Turkey, during a early harvest. They can be in a platter like I made, or served as a main dish. The next stuffed vine leaves are the premium from Gurme 212. Both cans of the stuffed leaves, are ready to eat and packed in extra virgin olive oil. In fact when placed on my platter I used some of that oil to drizzle over them. You won't believe your eyes when you open these 14.11oz cans, that they hold approximately 60 stuffed leaves. These stuffed leaves come from the green factory in Turkey, and are absolutely delicious. Both stuffed leaves are made with all natural ingredients. Grape leaves are a Mediterranean and a Vietnamese cuisine. They can be a acquired taste, but once you try them, you will fall in love with them. The premium Gurme 212 stuffed vine leaves are stuffed with rice. You can serve Gurme 212 stuffed leaves, whether grape or vine many ways. Serve them with herbs, oils, feta cheese, in a Greek salad, the ideas are endless. For me, I placed them on a platter surrounded by other ingredients, one of which was Gurme 212 roasted eggplant puree. This puree goes through a process of blistering the eggplant, slightly it blackens, then the skin is cleaned and the remaining eggplant puree is made. It is ready to eat right out of the jar, with no preservatives, and a bountiful host of nutrients. The roasted eggplant puree, is so delicious a true gourmet product. Right in the jar you can see the roasted eggplant and the eggplant seeds, very elegant product. Having all the work done for you in a jar, you can substitute the Gurme 212 roasted eggplant puree, for many recipes. Hot or cold, the taste is elegant, and very flavorful.

The second course of our meal, was a fresh kale salad and the main star was the Gurme 212 pickled hot baby peppers, sliced and mixed into the kale with my other ingredients. The Gurme 212 pickled hot baby peppers, really made the salad shine, and brought a burst of unique flavor to the salad. These hot pickled baby peppers are capsicum peppers that we're preserved by pickling them. They are in a vinegar brine, with salted water, herbs and spices. Simply amazing, from the crunch of the hot baby pepper, to the taste of the brine. There is a kick to the pickled hot baby peppers, and a zesty taste as well. They are ready to eat right out of the jar. The peppers that Gurme 212 use for their pickling are harvested in the fields of Gallipoli, this is where the worlds most flavorful peppers are found.

My next appetizer needed nothing, it was complete right out of the Gurme 212 jar. Just placed them on a platter, and that was it. They we're, Gurme 212 ricotta cheese stuffed cherry peppers with black olives. Only one word can describe these, fantastic! If you love cherry peppers, ricotta cheese, and black olives, you will love this product from Gurme 212. In every bite these tiny treasure pack a wonderful burst of flavor. They have a sweet, sharp, and bitter taste all packed in one cherry pepper. When you serve these, your guests will think you took all day to stuff the cherry peppers. But Gurme 212 did all the work for you. In every bite you feel the creamy ricotta cheese fill your mouth, its such a delicacy. You will just be amazed at these.

Just one more appetizer to go before I serve the grand finale platter. With Gurme 212, I used the jar of sun dried tomatoes in oil, and used it to top a cheesy brushcetta. Excellent choice, the sun dried tomatoes we're meaty and so tasteful. And on top of a cheese spread, melded so beautifully. The tomatoes used for sun drying are Roma type, that have been dehydrated, with a sweet, tangy, and semi chewy texture. The Gurme 212 sun dried tomatoes in oil would pair so well with so many recipes. Use them to replace any dish calling for traditional tomatoes.

I saved the best dish for last. With Gurme 212 I made spaghetti with fresh mussels and in the sauce added Gurme 212 fire roasted red peppers. Talk about gourmet, these fire roasted red peppers we so elegant, and bursting with flavor. They are all natural and have a smoky flavor to them, that paired so well in the pasta sauce and with the seafood. The flavor and the aroma that came from the Gurme 212 fire roasted red peppers was amazing. It really invites you in for a taste. You can eat Gurme 212 fire roasted red peppers from the jar, or use them in place of traditional red or green peppers. How ever you use them, the end result of your recipe will truly be a gourmets delight.
