Tonight for dinner I am
making some BBQ baked ribs, and for the BBQ sauce I am using sauce from a
company, 1934.This company is based out of Texas.
The company sent me over a
bottle of their original BBQ sauce, and a bottle of their 1934 bloody Mary
premium mix. So it's ribs and cocktail night at our house!
The 1934 company stated in Central TX , by pioneers, that represent the company today. The Grandfather of the
company created the original sauce for fundraising, and this BBQ sauce was
served to many Texans.
So I am very interested in
the product, and looking forward to tasting it as the base topping BBQ topping
for my ribs.
The original BBQ sauce from
1934, their very first sauce was thick when basting the ribs in the oven. It
stayed on perfectly. The taste of the sauce was that of a old fashion recipe.
You get the hint of black pepper, cider and vinegar. Just what you would expect
from the South. Also there is the taste of ancho chili's, which I just loved. The
ribs came out very tender and the 1934 BBQ sauce enhanced the flavor so much. This
is a premium BBQ sauce that would make a fine ingredient to add to many
recipes. Whether you want to add it to the recipe, or serve it on the side as a
dip, you will not be disappointed.
Also 1934, sent over a bottle
of their bloody Mary mix, so after dinner I made a few cocktails. The mix made
a full body cocktail, that had a very unique taste and quality about it. The
flavor was bold, and the ingredients well balanced. There is no msg, nor high
fructose corn syrup added in the mix, very natural tasting. The 1934 bloody Marymix is very well handcrafted, and you will see for your self, in every sip. Even
when adding ice to the drink, the mix holds it's own. It doesn't become watered
down at all.
