Muscle Up Protein Bars Review

Living in a house with everyone who exercises and eats healthy on a daily basis, I was excited to receive these products, yesterday.

From the company, Muscle Up, I received two of their protein bars. The back story of how this company started is from two master athletes themselves. They created their first, Muscle Up Bar was created by a pair of professional athletes who did not locate an available protein bar on the market that contained the two most basic elements of their diet: grass-fed, pasture-rich protein and sweet potatoes. Their goal was that, they would only use the finest products available to produce the greatest quality protein bars. Every bar is made with 2-3 times more protein than sugar and rarely with some sugar alcohol or stevia, so no aftertaste!

Protein bars may be a great way to incorporate carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals to your diet. They can also minimize appetite, fuel a workout, or support muscle repair after exercise.

We also realize that we need to have at least 20 g of protein before and during a workout. And bringing in a protein bar 30 minutes before the workout and/or immediately after the workout is a brilliant idea, particularly if you don't have a shaker and a protein powder in your hand. When those hunger pangs strike between meals, or after you've just completed a challenging workout, protein bars will satisfy while still supplying consistent, healthy energy that will help you motivated to remain on track and meet your weight loss goals.

That is where Muscle Up Protein Bars come into play. No matter how you work out, whether its weightlifting, or doing a strenuous workout of another form, these protein bars will help you.

The first bar for me to try was the cacao and vanilla. This protein bar was Muscle UP's bar, that started it all. Tasting the bar you get the crunch of the organic cacao nibbles and the cacao chips. There's also the taste of the almond butter, with the hint of vanilla. The protein bar over all is sweet. However, that sweetness comes from no chemical sweetener, but from sweet potato and coconut nectar. Eating this protein bar gives you a perfectly balanced intake of nutrition. Also what's great about this company is, 25% of sales will finance needs-based grants for students pursuing health or performing sciences. A little added note, when eating the protein bar from Muscle UP, it has a great texture that won't stick to your teeth like some protein bars may do. Over all it's a delicious protein bar. This protein bar I ate around 9am after using the treadmill for a good lengthy work out. My appetite held until lunch, with no food cravings.

The other bar that Muscle Up sent, was the peanut butter with cacao nibs. This protein bar is gluten free, soy free and has no sugar or stevia. The protein bar is soft in texture, but still chewy. You get a full amount of peanut butter, in which the company only use's organic. Then there are the cacao nibblers along with protein nibblers in every bite. The combo of the flavors are very well balanced. This bar I ate in-between lunch and dinner, and again my appetite was fulfilled, and I was satisfied well into the night.
